I was wondering why my cereal was tasting so terrible, and it turns out that my milk has spontaneously spoiled in the refrigerator in the past two days. On further inspection, it appears that so has my ham. Both articles are only around 8 days old, and the milk still had a good 4 days before reaching it's sell by date. This is making me quite suspicious and angry, since neither did the power go our nor does the little fridge have trouble keeping things cold. I guess it'll make me by smaller portions of stuff, but this will be rather annoying. Fortunately the rest of what I keep in there can survive if the thing does just randomly shut off.

One good point: I have found that the toilet makes for a good food disposal unit. The joys of living with no kitchen is many.
